Service conditions
Terms of Use
These Terms describe the conditions for using Provenia's international service to document project evolution and generate verifiable documentary artifacts.
1. About these Terms
These Terms apply to the international Provenia service. Provenia provides infrastructure for documenting the evolution and provenance of projects through chronological records and exported Dossiers.
Provenia is the product and trade name of FELIPE PASSOS DE MORAES ALVES LTDA, CNPJ 68.312.415/0001-34, Brazil, which operates the service. Paddle acts separately as Merchant of Record for international purchase transactions and does not operate the Provenia service.
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the Contact page or to contact@provenia.app.
2. What Provenia provides
Users can organize projects, create documentary records, preserve declared metadata and relationships, and generate PDF and JSON Dossier artifacts. SHA-256 file hashes are calculated on the user's device before registration; original creative-file contents are not transmitted to Provenia during that process.
Provenia documents submitted declarations and technical evidence. It does not certify absolute authorship, ownership, originality, lawful entitlement, or universal legal validity, and it does not replace professional advice or an official registration that may be relevant in a particular context.
3. Accounts and security
Users must provide accurate account information, protect their credentials, and use the service only through accounts they are authorized to control. Suspected unauthorized access or misuse should be reported to Provenia promptly.
Provenia may restrict an operation when reasonably necessary to protect accounts, the service, documentary integrity, or other users.
4. User declarations and original files
Users are responsible for their project descriptions, record titles, file metadata, relationships, and other declarations, including having the permissions needed to document the referenced material.
Users remain responsible for retaining original files and exported Dossiers. Future file comparison depends on preserving the same bytes used when the corresponding SHA-256 hash was calculated.
5. Documentary records and credits
Creating a record consumes a documentary credit under the credit model displayed in the product. Records preserve their documentary place even when later marked as created by mistake. Project and record history is not rewritten through the ordinary product flow.
Additional credits may be offered as individual purchases. Prices, currency, and the quantity supplied are presented before checkout.
Provenia honors mandatory statutory withdrawal or refund rights where they apply. No additional universal voluntary refund window is offered at launch. Unused purchased credits may remain subject to applicable mandatory withdrawal or refund rights. For consumed credits, an applicable withdrawal right may be lost only to the extent permitted by law and after the required valid request for immediate performance and acknowledgment have been obtained.
6. Paddle transactions
International purchases made through Paddle are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the transaction and payment layer, including payment-related refunds and chargebacks under its processes and the buyer terms applicable to the transaction.
Provenia remains the service operator and determines product-side credit status and eligibility. Paddle executes the associated payment and refund mechanics as Merchant of Record. Provenia does not directly process or store raw payment-card data, and these Terms do not create a separate universal Provenia refund period.
7. Dossiers and verification limits
A Dossier represents the documented state of a project when generated. Its PDF and JSON artifacts use Provenia's existing integrity and signature architecture so supported checks can be performed independently.
Successful technical checks establish only what each check is designed to establish, such as artifact integrity, signature validity, or hash correspondence. Evidentiary or legal significance depends on context and applicable rules and is not guaranteed by Provenia.
Provenia does not guarantee that a court, tribunal, authority, employer, platform, or any other third party will accept or admit a Dossier or assign it any particular evidentiary weight.
8. Service status and acceptable use
Provenia is not a notary or notarial service, copyright registry, government registry, or legal-certification authority. A Dossier does not replace a registration, certification, or professional service that may be required for a particular purpose.
Users must not use Provenia to violate another person's rights, submit unlawful material, misrepresent documentary evidence, access another account, extract secrets, circumvent service controls, or interfere with security or availability.
9. Account closure
The product provides an account-closure mechanism. Closure affects account access as described in the product, but it does not promise removal of every historical, evidentiary, security, audit, or transaction record associated with prior use.
10. Availability, warranties, and liability
Provenia may require maintenance and depends on external infrastructure and service providers. Features may evolve while compatibility and verification of preserved artifacts remain governed by their original technical contracts.
The service is provided subject to availability and without guarantees beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Provenia is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses. Any aggregate limitation is applied only where enforceable and on a reasonable and proportionate basis, considering the affected service, amounts paid, and nature of the claim. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
11. Governing law and mandatory rights
These Terms and the service relationship are governed by the laws of Brazil. This choice does not remove or restrict mandatory rights that cannot legally be waived under the consumer's applicable local law. These Terms do not require mandatory global arbitration or impose an exclusive forum that overrides non-waivable local rights.
12. Updates
Updated Terms will identify their version and effective date. Where the product requires renewed acceptance, the updated document may be presented before continued use.
Version 1.0. Effective August 25, 2026.
